About BIRCH BARK
Our BIRCH BARK is harvested from felled trees. 
Bark can be harvested from a live birch tree only at certain time of year, 
however,  there is a danger that the tree will be injured in the harvesting process. 
For that reason, the bark we use is taken from logger's trees or trees that are
about to be cut down. Each tree is beautiful & unique with a great
variety of color in the bark. Birch Bark comes off in sections that we 
eventually piece together to create our furniture and frames. 
Birch Bark is currently at a premium, and we use it with respect.
